Amazing New Healon Burn Testimony!

From Power Hour Jay:

I received a phone call from my brother and at the same time his wife texted me a picture.

Looking at the picture, it showed bad burns on his face, neck and shoulder. I asked him "what happened?”

He went on to tell me he had gone outside at 5am this particular morning to start a burn pile.

He got the fire started then when he turned away to leave, he tripped and fell into the fire.

Luckily he was able to pick himself up, but not before sustaining a significant amount of burns.

While on the phone I asked him if he had gone to the hospital to have it looked at.

He replied “no”.  He continued to say that he was not a fan of hospitals.

The burns were bad enough that I was scared and told him he should go to have them looked at, and he finally did.

The first week he was in and out of the hospital a few times. When I was finally able to go see him, I cried when I first saw him.  I brought him a bottle of Healon.  First I had him take a shower and then with a washcloth, we slowly started to cleanse some of the dead skin off. We then applied the Healon to his face, neck and shoulder.

What's absolutely amazing is that the doctors were evaluating whether or not to do a skin graph on him and after using the Healon the doctors said there would be no need for a skin graph and that someone up there was truly looking after him.

Once we started using the Healon my brother said it even helped him to manage the pain.

I'm so grateful to look at the pictures of him today and see his face with no scarring!!

Thank you so Much Ron Salley for creating such a wonderful product.  It has helped me and my family for many years!

Ingredient Spotlight:

Menthol 0.1%

Studies have shown that menthol has antinociceptive, antimicrobial, and antiulcerogenic properties.  Its biological effects also make menthol a promising molecule to be used in wound healing.

Apricot Kernel Oil

Apricot Kernel Oil is an ideal moisturizing oil to promote soft, resilient, youthful looking skin. It is highly nutritive, lightweight, and quick to absorb.

It is a great alternative to Almond Oil for those with allergies.

The apricot kernel is a superlative skin-smoother: Ground up, it helps to refine skin texture; turned to oil, it soothes, strengthens, and repairs the skin barrier.

Below are just a few of apricot kernel oil’s commonly noted skincare benefits:

Deeply moisturizing

Similar to other non-fragrant plant oils, apricot kernel oil acts as an emollient, softening skin when applied, and helping to seal it against moisture loss. It also has a soothing effect, especially on “chapped” or over-dried skin.

Rich in antioxidants

Antioxidants operate on the skin's cellular level. When skin cells are stressed, they’re susceptible to “oxidizing” reactions that can result in other skin complications. Ingredients with antioxidants, like ascorbic acid or apricot kernel oil, are often added to skincare products to help repair this kind of damage, from the inside out.

Vegetable Glycerine

Glycerin has been popular as a skin moisturizer for many years and has long been known for its benefits in aiding skin hydration and elasticity while helping repair the skin's natural barrier. It also has antimicrobial properties.

Glycerin is a natural compound derived from vegetable oils and animal fats. It is a clear, colorless, and odorless liquid. Glycerin has been popular as a skin moisturizer for many years and has long been known for its benefits in aiding skin hydration and elasticity while helping repair the skin’s natural barrier. It also has antimicrobial properties.

Glycerin is a major ingredient that is used more frequently in topical lotions and moisturizers that stay on the skin after application rather than in washes and soaps. However, soaps and face washes containing glycerin are described as gentler on the skin than products containing other non-natural or harsh ingredients.

Glycerin benefits for skin:

Moisturizes your skin

Glycerin gives the skin a refreshed look and aids in moisturization by drawing water from the deeper levels of the skin towards the surface layer of the skin and locking it in. That way, the skin obtains the necessary hydration to give it a fresher, healthier, and smoother look.

During the winter, the dryness and low humidity in the air can easily cause the skin to dry out, making the skin less elastic and more prone to cracking. Glycerin helps protect your skin from these harsh external factors, leaving it moisturized with a soft feel.

Protects your skin

Glycerin has antimicrobial properties, such as bacteria and fungi, which protect the skin from harmful microorganisms that can cause many undesirable conditions and health problems.

Keeps your skin young

Glycerin draws moisture from the surrounding environment (Think of glycerin as a sponge that absorbs water!). This water retention increases the skin’s elasticity and hydration. It also reduces the appearance of wrinkles, giving you smoother and younger-looking skin.

Safe moisturizer for all skin types

Some compounds used in skin care products may irritate people with varying types of skin. However, glycerin has effective moisturizing properties while being gentle on the skin and does not cause irritation or clog pores. Glycerin is even suitable for children and is used in various baby products.

Helps damaged skin and useful in healing wounds

Glycerin has skin-repairing and antimicrobial properties therefore, it promotes the health of damaged skin and protects it from bacteria and other harmful microorganisms. In addition to its effectiveness in giving the skin moisture and helping to increase its elasticity, glycerin also improves the skin's natural defensive barrier.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil may benefit your skin in a variety of ways. It may help moisturize your skin, relieve inflammation, accelerate wound healing, and treat acne. But it might not be suitable for everyone.

Coconut oil is a type of fat that has been touted for its health-promoting properties.

Several studies have even found it might have benefits for skin health as well.

Coconut Oil benefits for the skin:

It Can Kill Harmful Microorganisms

The medium-chain fatty acids in coconut oil have antimicrobial properties that can help protect against harmful microorganisms.

This is especially important for skin health, as many types of skin infections, including acne, cellulitis, folliculitis and athlete’s foot, are caused by bacteria or fungi. Applying coconut oil directly to the skin may prevent the growth of these microorganisms.

Coconut Oil Reduces Inflammation

Chronic inflammation is a major component of many different types of skin disorders, including psoriasis, contact dermatitis and eczema.

Interestingly, coconut oil has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.

In one study, researchers applied virgin coconut oil to the inflamed ears of rats. Not only was coconut oil found to have an anti-inflammatory effect, but it relieved pain as well.

What’s more, coconut oil may ease inflammation by improving antioxidant status.

Coconut Oil Moisturizes Dry Skin

In addition to its effects on acne and inflammation, applying coconut oil to your skin can also help keep it hydrated.

One study in patients with mild to moderately dry skin compared the effects of coconut oil to mineral oil, a type of oil made from petroleum that’s often used to treat dry skin.

It has also been shown to help treat eczema, a skin condition characterized by scaly, itchy rashes.

Coconut Oil Can Help With Wound Healing

Several studies have demonstrated that coconut oil may also aid wound healing.

One study looked at how coconut oil applied to the skin affected wound healing in rats.

It found that treating the wounds with virgin coconut oil sped up healing, improved antioxidant status and increased levels of collagen, an important protein that aids in wound healing.

Another study showed that coconut oil combined with an antibiotic applied to the skin was effective at healing burn wounds.

In addition to improving wound healing, its antimicrobial properties may also prevent infection, one of the major risk factors that can complicate the healing process

Beeswax

Beeswax forms a protective barrier on the skin's surface, protecting your skin from environmental irritants and harsh weather. Beeswax is particularly exceptional being non-comedogenic (non-pore blocking), allowing the skin to breathe freely.

Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree Oil)

When used topically, tea tree oil is believed to be antibacterial. Tea tree oil is commonly used to treat acne, athlete's foot, lice, nail fungus and insect bites.

Tea tree oil has been used as a traditional medicine by the Aboriginal people of Australia for centuries to treat coughs and colds or apply it directly to the skin for healing.

Tea tree oil contains several compounds, including terpinen-4-ol, that can destroy certain bacteria, viruses, and fungi.

Tea tree oil’s germ-fighting properties make it a valued natural remedy for treating bacterial and fungal skin conditions, preventing infection, and promoting healing.

Benefits for Skin:

Antiseptic for minor cuts and scrapes

Injuries resulting from broken skin make it easy for germs to enter your bloodstream, leading to infection.

Tea tree oil can treat and disinfect minor cuts and abrasions by targeting S. aureus and other bacteria that can cause infection in open wounds.

Supports wound healing

Tea tree oil prevents infection in cuts and abrasions and, when combined with traditional methods, may also encourage wound healing.

Research suggests tea tree oil may help reduce inflammation and trigger the activity of white blood cells that are essential in the healing process.

Because of tea tree oil’s antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties, it may help reduce inflammation and enhance healing.

In a study of 10 people with wounds from 2013, adding tea tree oil to conventional wound treatment led to decreased healing time in all but one participant.

Echinacea Purpurea

Echinacea is both an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory ingredient, and fantastic for the treatment of acne. Antimicrobial properties soothe skin of irritation and prevent the spread (and growth) of bacteria.

Echinacea purpurea contains many beneficial constituents for protection of skin from oxidative stress and for improving hydration

Skin Benefits of Echinacea

Echinacea has high-antioxidant activity

Antioxidants are chemical compounds that can inhibit the oxidation reaction promoted by free radicals. They can reduce skin damage by neutralizing the destructive action of free radicals and reactive oxygen species. (Manayi et al.,2015). Due to the cichoric acid content in its roots, echinacea displays high antioxidant properties that can help mitigate the effects of photo-aging (Manayi et al.,2015). Furthermore, echinacea contains alkylamides that help boost its antioxidant activity by assisting in the regeneration of cichoric acid and increasing its accessibility to molecules.

Echinacea has anti-inflammatory properties.

While inflammation is often a normal defensive immune response, excess inflammation for prolonged periods can aggravate the body, skin, and lead to chronic stress and health issues. Echinacea has anti-inflammatory properties due to its high levels of bioactive compounds such as polysaccharides and alkylamides. These compounds assist with inflammation affecting the pathways that produce pro-inflammatory cytokines and enzymes in the body, effectively reducing their levels in the body.

Echinacea has antibacterial properties

One of the common causes of acne is the overproduction of certain bacteria on the skin, which leads to inflammation of the skin follicles. In a 2011 UBC study, scientists found that echinacea extract was successful in suppressing the growth of Propionibacterium acnes, a gram-positive bacteria responsible for causing acne. Furthermore, the echinacea extract was found to reduce the level of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines in the skin cells, effectively reducing the inflammation that causes redness and swelling of the skin.

Burdock Root

Burdock Root  is a plant extract whose active constituents are skin-soothing and antioxidant. Whether the leaves, roots, or seeds are used, burdock is a helpful ingredient for all skin types.

What is the effect of burdock root on the skin?

Burdock root works because of its abundant nutrients. Indeed, burdock root contains powerful antioxidants such as phenolic acids, luteolin and quercetin as well as skin-essential minerals such as iron, magnesium, manganese, selenium, zinc and calcium.

Thanks to the minerals and healthy vitamins mentioned above, burdock root is useful in improving, detoxifying or correcting certain skin conditions. Accordingly, burdock root is used to treat acne, eczema, and psoriasis based on its antioxidant properties, ability to detoxify the blood, and improve circulation - all of which promote health. Optimal skin health.

In fact, a 2008 study found that the use of burdock root extract significantly reduced wrinkles. At the same time, this method also helps to detoxify the skin, significantly improving the metabolism of the outer layers of the skin, creating a powerful anti-aging effect.

Goldenseal

Goldenseal is applied to the skin for rashes, ulcers, wound infections, itching, eczema, acne, dandruff, ringworm, herpes blisters, and cold sores.

Studies suggest that berberine, one of the main active compounds in goldenseal, may help fight P. acnes, the bacterium responsible for acne. In addition, animal research suggests that berberine's anti-inflammatory effects may help treat inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis

The herb is naturally rich in a class of alkaloid compounds, with berberine, hydrastine, and canadine being found in the highest concentrations.

These alkaloids are linked to antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and believed to be the main reason behind goldenseal’s purported health benefits

Red Clover

Traditionally, red clover ointments have been applied to the skin to treat psoriasis, eczema, and other rashes.

It is particularly useful as a remedy for eczema and psoriasis.ue to the high content of isoflavones, red clover contains powerful antioxidants, is skin regenerating and stimulates the cellular metabolism of the skin, which also makes it especially suitable for the care of dry and mature skin.

Garlic Oil

The anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties of garlic extract are excellent to treat skin conditions like atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, scars, wrinkles, and dark circles. The oil contains sulfur compounds which boost the formation of new tissues and help in supplying blood to the wounds.

Garlic is actually one of the strongest natural antioxidants and antibacterials out there in the market due to the presence of a chemical compound called Allicin which is responsible not only for its pungent smell but also for its revitalizing factor.

What makes Garlic Oil good for the skin?

Garlic Seed Oil is widely used as an anti-aging agent and moisturizer that encourages skin moisture absorption and promotes skin repair while preventing visible signs of aging such as wrinkles.
